Introduction
This guide describes all necessary steps to prepare the FAST LTA Silent Brick System for the connection to PBS ContentLink.
This guide was tested with Silent Brick Version 2.22 and PBS ContentLink Version 4.1

Go to Preferences -> SMB

Configure Active Directory or create a new local user

This user will be used for the connection between PBS and FAST LTA

Assign at least one Brick to the Stage Bricks. Brick may be

Standard Brick

FLASH Brick

WORM Brick. Will be partitioned. Size as needed. Default: 1TB

Add one or more Bricks to the Archive

Be aware that WORM Volumes and Archives can not be modified once created.

Choose 'add' under 'Sub Volumes' Tab of your archive

Volume Name: PBS
-
Volume Type: WORM with Retention ( RW/RO triggered, autosafe )

Retention: Set to 0. Retention will be set by PBS

Other settings: All other settings may be default.

To create a SMB Share click 'Add SMB Share'

Share path: /
-
Share name: pbs
-
Make sure to disable public accessibility and add your user created in Step 1

Your share is now available under your Silent Brick Systems IP-address
